Beltane Fire Festival ibaho mu rwego rwo kwishimira ibihe by’ubukonje bavuyemo bitegura kujya mu mpeshyi(Summer Time), uyu ukaba ari umwaka wa 30 ibayeho.

These celebrants growled as they made their way toward the event on Calton Hill in Edinburgh

The event, first organized in the mid-1980s, marks the ending of winter and is a revival of the ancient Celtic and Pagan festival of Beltane, the Gaelic name for the month of May

Speaking about the event, Chair of Beltane Fire Society said: 'This year is the 30th Beltane Fire Festival to celebrate, we've asked our volunteers to think big and explore the roots of the festival'

This group of revellers carried large flaming torches as they performed for the crowds in the Scottish capital 

Revellers also took to the streets of Glastonbury (pictured) to celebrate the coming of the new season
